second time around since the easy shapes and sizes will go during the first round.

I would suggest that you repeat the activity twice. On the second time through, if you don’t have
identical piles, have them switch to a new pile of fruits and vegetables. This will give them a slightly
different experience.

If you don’t want to use fruits and vegetables, this activity can be done with various
items that you find around the house or your classroom. Just be sure they are of different sizes, shapes,
and weights.

How hard was the activity for you?
How did you choose which item you were going to carry?
How difficult was it to keep the items on the spoon?
Which items were easy to carry?
Which items were hard to carry?
If you were to repeat this activity, what would you do differently?
How could this activity be compared to different stressors in your life?
What are some of the things that cause stress in your life?
Is stress always bad? Explain.
Do all things that happen to you cause you the same level of stress? Why or why not?
What are some of the techniques that you can use to take care of the small daily stressors?
What are some of the techniques you could use to take care of major stressors?
Are there ever stressors that need another person to help you? Describe them.
What type of a person would you go to ask for help with a major stressor?
